The program aimed at mobilizing students enrolled in various Akhuwat educational institutions, to become active members in mitigating the effects of the virus in their respective communities. These students identified deserving families and then, distributed PKR 2,500 to each family. The program eventually enlisted 831 students, alumni, and teachers and provided financial aid to 4110 families across the country with a total disbursement amount of over 10 million rupees.
Following the devastating 2022 floods in Pakistan, Akhuwat launched a two-phase recovery plan focused on immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation. In the first phase, it provided cash aid, ration packs, clothing, blankets and medical care through transparent, community-based efforts. The second phase supported those who lost homes, businesses, or livelihoods with interest-free loans. This helped families rebuild and restart their lives. Akhuwat's approach addressed both urgent needs and sustainable recovery for affected communities.
